About the event

Join us at the Preloved Studio for our introduction to the sewing machine to reduce textiles waste!

You’ll be learning sewing machine skills including:

  • how domestic sewing machines work
  • how to fill the bobbin
  • how to thread the machine
  • how to sew straight lines, corners and curves.

Workshop skill level: Beginner (no previous experience needed.)

Meet your workshop facilitator: Fiona Graham

Fiona has many years’ experience in the clothing and home textiles industry and has a lifelong love of sewing and making things. She worked in manufacturing, and in product development for major high street retailers. She has a wide knowledge of all garment types and sewing techniques to share!
