About the event

Join us at the Preloved Studio for our free workshop on creating a bucket hat from studio fabric scraps to reduce textiles waste!

In this workshop you'll learn:

  • how to make a piece of fabric from scraps
  • how to cut and prepare pieces using a paper pattern
  • how to assemble and sew the hat on a domestic sewing machine

Workshop skill level: Intermediate ( a confident user of sewing machines and able to work independently)

Meet your workshop facilitator: Fiona Graham

Fiona has many years’ experience in the clothing and home textiles industry and has a lifelong love of sewing and making things. She worked in manufacturing, and in product development for major high street fashion retailers. She has a wide knowledge of all garment types and sewing techniques to share!
